"Poor care at Northern General Hospital."

I got took into A&E last Monday (29/04/12) with abdominal pain and PV bleeding. I told them my gynae history and my consultants name yet instead of doing a pelvic examination or transfering me to Jessops womens hospital, they transferred me to the surgical assessment unit, where they kept me in overnight.

I saw a consultant both Monday evening and Tuesday morning and both times the consultants spoke over me and said to their registrars what is she doing here she isn't a surgical patient shes a gynae patient.

They said they were arranging for an ultrasound scan on the Tuesday morning, I told them I had one just over a month since and because I have a coil in they couldn't see what they needed to see in the endometrium, but they still decided to go ahead and guess what they couldnt see again.

One of the nurses kept forgetting to bring my pain relief and even though the doctor had prescribed morphine she refused to give it me. The registrar tried to get me a bed at Jessops but my consultant refused me a bed there and said he would see me at my next out patients appointment. I haven't been sent yet and to discharge me on two medications which ive already tried twice in the past few months and they didn't work, so he obviously took a lot of notice of the information my GP sent him.

The surgical registrar told me to ring the gynae consultants secretary and try and get an earlier appointment (which she told me 3rd July was the earliest) and see my gp and get her to write a letter to my consultant saying I needed to see him urgently.

They then discharged me even though I was still in severe pain. On my first appointment with him his nurse gave me an injection that was supposed to put my body into menopause for a month, and said if this didnt work it was likely I would need ablation or hysterectomy, now they don't seem to care less.
