I spent most of yesterday morning in the pre-assessment clinic seeing the nurse for blood pressure, ECG etc, then, Jayne, the Enhanced Recovery Program Nurse and followed by time with a Doctor on the ColoRectal team.
I left armed with information leaflets and booklets plus carbohydrate drinks but more importantly I left feeling confident that I was in good hands and with a positive feeling towards by forthcoming bowel resection.
