About: Darent Valley Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I went to A&E on at the end of April and there were 3 receptionists chatting to each other when I approached the desk after seeing the nurse to book in. None of them seemed to want to see to me and they all looked like they didn't want to be there at all.

The lady I saw was very curt and verging on rude. I was not checking into A&E for fun, so a little understanding should be applied.

We are very sorry to hear that when you came into the A&E department you were not dealt with in the professional manner that we would expect from our staff.

We will bring your comments to the attention of the Matron in charge of the Accident and Emergency Department for her to raise with the reception staff.
