We spent 4 nights at the Hospital for the delivery of our Baby Boy, everything was fine and the staff was great. From the antenatal care through to delivery and postnatal care, the service was absolutely fantastic. We had an excellent consultant care - and Specialist Registers.
In postnatal ward we want to thank personally the maternity care assistant, who was so kind and very helpful to my wife and baby.
Thank you for your support and efforts.
We were greeted by a wonderful midwifes who looked after us before labor and post labor. Everything was explained to us thoroughly we knew exactly what was going to happen to us…but unfortunately the midwife, who has been assigned for the night of the labor - was absolutely useless. She wasn’t doing any of her duties (except writhing notes only), not taking any care of us, not helping when we need it, not supporting during labor itself, not be able to change even catheter properly…she can only do clerk’s job, we don’t really know why does she work as a midwife, immediately after the labor, which she only witness (not being active part of it) we were asking her for some help with cleaning blood from the mother’s body, we need painkillers, we need help with breastfeeding(baby was crying for milk)…and what did she do…started dealing with her notes hurry for changeover the shifts and didn’t pay any attention to our needs…finally we were asking senior midwife for help.
We may kindly ask The Head of Midwifery to review their competence and prevent other moms to be suffering rather then that we were very happy with maternity service at this hospital, it has had a lot of bad press but we can honestly say that we are eternally grateful to them for the safe arrival of our beautiful boy.
Need improvement with midwifes competence.
