What I liked

The doctor and his team did a THR revision on my right hip on 1st May (now have had 2 right and one left). As with the others it seems to have been sucessful and was checked OK on 16 June. Thank you for that.The ward 4 was like a private hospital ward and was continuously cleaned. I have no hesitation in saying that the current wave of adverse comments are not true. The nursing staff are all treasures and I can not speak highly enough of them.

What could be improved

Having no contact with medical staff for six weeks after the operation can lead to the imagination taking over, especially when you are alone for eleven or so hours daily. I have now started to sleep on my good side and am finding that the good leg and thigh are increasingly sore and that is worrying. It would be an improvement to be able to access advice at a clinic if the need arose even if only by phone. I was asked if I would like to go to Pembury for Phsiotherpy but this has not happened. I think that although the nuts and bolts may be Ok the worry could be handled better with some form of advice on tap.
