"a&e visit"

About: Croydon University Hospital

Anything else?

I went to A&E by ambulance after having a asthma attack. I had to wait 1 hour in the corridor for the doctor to see me. I was so cold. My doctors and nurses didn't communicate properly with me.

I am sorry you were not happy with the service you received when you came to Croydon University Hospital last December. We have passed your comments on to the senior staff in the A&E department who will look into what happened when you came to us.

We have recently introduced a Rapid Assessment, Triage and Treatment system to ensure that patients who come to A&E by ambulance are seen and treated more rapidly and improve communication between the staff and the people who are being assessed and cared for in the department.

However from your posting it may be that you were directed to the Urgent Care Service, which is not run by the Trust so if you could contact the Patient Advice and Liaison service with more details we will be able to pass your comments onto the right people for a response.

You can call PALS on 020 8401 3210 or email TalkToUs@croydonhealth.nhs.uk
