"Biopsy - Will always be thankful to the amazing team"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS) The Princess Royal Hospital / Breast surgery

(as the patient),

Earlier this year, I had noticed a lump on the top of my left arm. So, I went to my GP, Dr Engleberts, who then advised me that TRAQs would be in touch to book an appointment. TRAQs then got into touch with me to book an appointment, and the lady of the phone was very friendly and polite.

On my appointment, I was seen by Mr Przyczyna, and was advised surgery for biopsy. He was great as he booked me in for surgery 1 week later. Everything was explained really well and things seemed more straight forward. The team of doctors and nurses were amazing. I was afraid and nervous about the surgery as I had underwent major surgery 2 years earlier for an ovarian tumour.

The nurses and doctors were very understanding and made me feel at ease. I underwent surgery with local anaesthetic and was amazed to find the procedure quite comfortable. More so, the surgeon and the team of nurses made me laugh and took my mind of the surgery.

I was looked after very well, and will always be thankful to the amazing team that treated me. I am fit and well and was grateful to find that the lump was not dangerous, but better out :-).

This is a really humbling story. Thank you for sharing this with us. So much of what you say really highlights the standards of care that every one of us would hope for - reassurance, putting you at ease, prompt care. I will make sure I share this with the team.
