I felt I had become an (unavailing) expert on how the Scottish health service works after having breast cancer. (I had surgery, radiotherapy, chemo and hospital therapy). Following the chemo I have numb feet ("peripheral neuropathy") and have had some tests on my legs. The neurologist also sent me for an MRI scan in October 2012.
It is now March 2013 and II have never seen or been told the result of that scan, despite countless phone calls to the neurologists secretary from both my GP and me. My GP tried yet again and was able to at last get the result by fax yesterday.
I still do not know why the MRI scan was ordered, and am left wondering why it took so long to get the results. At first when I phoned I was told the secretary was off ill, then when she returned, she assured me my results would be typed up immediately. Well, apparently that was done, but they were never sent :-(.
