We arrived at A & E Southport with my sister in law who was visiting for the weekend 28th April 2013 - at approx. 18.00hrs .My husband and I drove her there as she had suddenly become unwell - cold sweat, pale ,nausea , and nearly going unconcious on our journey to the hospital. The A & E triage area was half full , mainly due to drunks from the football match but within 2 minutes of arriving she was taken through to emergency care . The nurses were fabulous and the doctor who was in charge a credit to the NHS .After over 3 hours of investigations and care she became stable ,enough to be discharged ,but need to see her own GP regarding pain killers and medication for recent knee op's.Just like to thanks all the nurses and especially the doctor who attended to her that evening as he was thorough ,professional and a credit to the NHS .Massive thank from all the family.
"Excellent care at A & E Southport"
