Anything else?
We were sent to the children's ward with our 4 week old daughter.
What we liked. The doctor that saw us was amazing he thoroughly checked her over and was able to tell us what was wrong with her and how to treat it. It was fantastic after a very long wait to feel so reassured after 4 weeks of worrying visits to the doctors to finally get to the bottom of our daughters health problems.
What we did not like.
1. Having to wait over 5 minutes to be let into the children's ward. There were 3 of us waiting to be let in.
2. I understand hospitals are very busy but to be sat in a room for almost 4 hours with no communication what so ever unless we asked to then rudely be told we were on the list. It was also very concerning that no one even did an initial check over on our child.
3. I also thought the nhs supported healthy lifestyles to be sat in the observation part of a children's ward and hear nurses discussing in their words getting absolutely wasted I find completely disgusting.
Needless to say although some of the treatment was beyond poor. We was very pleased with the medical treatment our daughter received and the level of professionalism we received from the doctor. We can't thank him enough for helping our family.
