About: East Surrey Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

This hospital has not only turned the corner it is setting the pace. Went there last week accompanying friends with their grandson who had an egg size bump on head. Treated swiftly in an impressive A&E pediatric unit and reassurance obtained.

Also, I attended the Gastroenterology Department recently and had an informed and participatory discussion with the registrar and consultant. Was involved in making decisions on treatment options and the way forward. Seen on time and treated with courtesy at all times.

I am responsible for everything to do with facilities, estates and IT. This includes our £50m building programme, food, cleaning, estates, porters, telephones, IT, transport, car parks and anything similar. Also leading our new Patient Experience Programme.
