What I liked

I elected to have my first child at PRH. My son was 2 weeks overdue and as a result I was induced and had a subsequent delivery at the hospital. I found the midwives and other staff excellent to be excellent throughout. The labour was both long and emotional the staff were suppotive and professional throughout. The delivery involved different types of intervention and I was impressed with how quickly the staff responded as my baby's heart was dropping as labour progressed and how the team ensured that they explained what was going on at each stage to my partner and I.

On the second night after my son was born he was distraught and cried through the whole night the midwives and paedertrician were on hand to check him, offer advice and relieve me when I was tired.

I have only positive memories of the birth and that is greatly due to the midwives and all the other staff at the hospital.
