As a young person growing up with flat feet, it really knocked my confidence and I began to experience a lot of complications when carrying out my day to day activities, such as dancing and playing sport. Because of my foot problem many things in my life had to change and I thought it was as the end of the road for my career. I met many surgeons in the past and many foot specialists about this foot issue but none of them seemed to be 100% certain my surgery will be successful which left me quiet worried and I thought I would have to live in pain throughout my life.

As a few years went by I did a self-referral to the foot health service in Stratford, and a doctor assessed my foot and saw that my foot would need more then correct foot ware and exercises, as it was severely flat , he then referred me a foot surgeon to see what help they could offer me.

When I went to West Middlesex University hospital for my first appointment and foot assessment with one of the doctors he then discussed a few options with me, about surgery on my flat feet, I was extremely pleased as I had been told by other doctors my foot structure will stay the same regardless of wearing supportive footwear or exercise.

Meeting the doctors was truly a blessing as they knew exactly what they needed to do to correct my severely flat feet and they both explained to me clearly what procedures will happen during the surgery step by step so I had a lot of say in what I wanted and I felt like I was very involved.

They are both extremly brilliant people and intelligent seurgeons/foot specialist, and their work has changed my life for the better and now I can walk comfortably forever.
