I was told in December 2012 that i was on the ablations waiting list and should be about March or April. Saw the consultant in March and was told again it would be April. I phoned Mid April to see what had happend as not heard anything and told the consultant on paternity leave but i should have a date for the end of April beginning of May. Phoned again at the end of April as still not heard and was told i would here in the next few days via a phone call. Still no phone call so called again and was told they were working on Mays surgery listings so would be phoned the next day. No phone call received so the following day called again and was told it would be the end of May. I explained this was not exceptable and he said he would speak to someone about it and call me back that afternoon. Guess what no phone call. Finally had enough so called the PALS Team and they found out that it would be June at the earliest. Just tell the truth from the beginning that they have an 18 week waiting list which they are breaching all the time as they are so under staffed people would be unhappy but totally understand. Making false promises only makes a patient with a heart condition worse !! Phone people back when you say you will and tell the truth !!
