Anything else?
I was called out of hours by a doctor, without prompting, to inform me that the gp blood test results had found diabetes. This was an excellant service and so was the appointment service there too. I give blood regularly and have been doing so for years, the fact that i have diabetes has never been picked up on even though i have been informed that i have had this for over 3 years! the blood doning does not take part in this hospital unfortunately as if it had it may have been found earlier. I am now having to take regular visits to the Buckland for different problems caused by the undiagnosed diabetes damage. Everyone at the hospital are all wonderful and the service has been fantastic, it is a shame that this was not picked up on earlier by the blood service as it could have saved a lot of time and money for the NHS and a lot of stress for me.
