I was admitted in early March 2013 for a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. On arrival I met a nurse called Melissa. I felt very nervous about the events which were to follow. Straight away I was put at ease, was advised what would be happening even to the extent of the time of my procedure. She advised what would happen to my belongings and that after my operation I would be in another ward.
The anaesthetist and surgeon came to see me. I was then escorted to therapy by two lovely people. After it was all over I woke up to a very friendly face who was comforting me.
My gown was changed and I was propped up to feel very comfortable. During my stay the care and professionalism was "A+" and the icing on the cake was when Melissa, my first contact, came to see me before going off duty.
Congratulations New Victoria Glasgow. What a credit and example you are to the NHS.
