An Exemplary NHS Hospital. An emergency visit to the Minor Injuries Unit on a Saturday afternoon was met with nothing less than an experience one would hope for in our NHS. The receptionist was welcoming, efficient and in few moment I was being attended by a very professional Clinic Nurse. The Nurse quickly diagnosed a possible problem and recommended a visit to a major hospital for a very minor operation rather than just stitching up the wound. No suitable Hospital was available locally at the time, nor would a major hospital respond to a telephone call
On the Sunday evening ( after a 12 hr wait) at a major hospital in Oxford, the wound had been examined, the possible problem confirmed and sorted by a Plastic Surgeon.
Well done Cromer Hospital and the NHS in general.
The 12 hr wait was because of the lack of money would only allow for one Plastic Surgeon on duty at the weekend.
