"Over reaction!"

Thank you for your feedback regarding the care received for your 5 months baby boy. The service at the Minor Injury and Minor Illness unit is nurse led with highly experienced nurse practitioners. On every shift there is a Senior nurse practitioner who is the Nurse in charge. The Senior nurse practitioner would have had concerns to deem it necessary to place your child in the resuscitation room. It is normal protocol to call an ambulance for a young child with breathing difficulties if the clinician assesses that the care required is in a hospital environment.
