On 06/04/13 I Had to call an ambulance (I was 8 weeks pregnant) out as i was doubled over in with pain, was shaking, vomiting and hadn't eaten or drank anything properly for days as this pain got gradually worse.

I was curled up in a ball crying and firstly got refused an ambulance, then got a call back saying someone will be with me within an hour.

I had to go up to A&E, i got took straight in and put on a bed. It took took 4 hours and me sobbing to be seen. I don't think I'd have been seen for longer if it wasn't for people in with patients coming to see if I was ok..

When i was finally seen i was given cocodamol and anti sickness. The doctor gave me the option to stay in or go home.

I told him I'd rather stay in as I haven't eaten properly for a week and i've been vomiting, have already lost a fair bit of weight and I'm in absolute agony, I can't rest at home as I have a 1 year old.

to which the Doctor laughed at me and replied "a hospital isn't a place to come and have a rest, you can do that at home."

Someone eventually came and took me into CDU ward and said that I didn't really need to be taken there as the doctor said I can go home after I'd has some fluids through IV.

The porter made a fuss and made me feel like an absolute liability wheeling me into a room full of people trying to sleep, turned the lights on and left me there as she went to speak to someone about where I was meant to be, I told her I would go if it's that much trouble and I don't need to be here, to which she shouted to the nurses "it's ok she's going home.' She took my canula out and sent me on my way (baring in mind I could not walk or even stand properly without wincing in pain)

I had no transport as I came in by ambulance, I had to wait outside for an hour at 12.30am for someone to pick me up.

This is not the first time I have been treated badly and every time I need to go I dread the way I will be spoke to. I was left on the floor vomiting when I was 37 weeks in a previous pregnancy as they had no beds.
