It is extremely common to have to wait three weeks for a routine appointment.
If you require an "urgent" appointment, you have to ring at 8. 00am in the morning and hope when you get through these having all been taken. I once spent three days trying to obtain one of these in order to have a follow-up, only to have a doctor extend my sick note without even seeing me.
