"Impressed with Maternity services"

About: John Radcliffe Hospital

Anything else?

My baby was due on 23rd February 2013, however I went into labour on 31st January and went to the John Radcliffe in Oxford. As soon as i arrived i was quickly examined and had to be taken to delivery straight away, from the moment i arrived there i was looked after extremely well and felt comfortable in the care of the midwives. My baby was born 7 hours later and both midwives stayed longer than their shift until he had arrived. The room i was in was spacious and i was able to have my family around me, there were also facilities near by. I did have a bit of a wait until we were taken up to the ward as we had to stay in overnight, however we were given a selection of food/drink and then once we were shown to our bed we were made comfortable and i found the midwives to be extremely helpful and caring throughout the night. Facilities were clean and comfortable. Even when we had to return a few days later i was equally impressed with the service we were given and how well myself and baby were cared for. All in all a very good experience.
