Anything else?
My daughter was admitted with suspected bacterial meningitis on the 6th April via A&E. The staff were instantly alert and responsive to the possibilities, they treated my daughter with courtesy and kindness, never losing their sense of urgency yet at all times we were kept informed and everything was explained to us. I would particularly like to mention the Consultant who reassured both my daughter and me with kindly good humour. The nurse was marvellous. she attended to my daughter constantly and explained all the procedures carefully and clearly so that we knew what was happening and why. She handled all my questions and worried queries with patience and diplomacy - quite an achievement in that pressured environment - and made sure that she saw us through to CDU. All the staff in CDU were supportive, knowledgeable and efficient and the staff on Dorrell Ward, where my daughter was finally moved to, were equally professional and attentive. Thank you Royal Berks
"Happy ending"
