My grandmother spent almost 6 weeks on Allebone Ward following admittance via A&E and AEU. Every member of staff that had any contact with my grandmother during her stay were friendly, helpful and above all so caring and considerate. This high level of care was consistently displayed to all the patients in all 3 areas. Despite being so incredibly busy all the time, I watched staff talking and spending quality time with patients that needed it, often just walking up and down the ward with patients chatting and helping to put their mind at rest. This is the difference between quality care and simply treating the patients medically. I genuinely felt as thought all the staff, (doctors, consultants, nurses, and healthcare assistants) all truly cared deeply about the well-being of the patients. I have heard some horror stories about the NHS, but I do not think my grandmother could have possibly received better care in any hospital (private or otherwise) anywhere in the world. You all do such a wonderful job. Thank-you to you all x
