At New Hall, they made me feel like I was the most important patient on their ward, before and after my surgical procedure. As soon as I arrived on the ward I was met by my anaesthetist whom talked me through my procedure alleviating any of the worries I was feeling, giving me every opportunity to ask questions and it was all done in my own time, no rush or reciting from a crib sheet, if there were any questions I had forgotten to ask he would come back to me. The nursing staff were constantly around making sure I was as comfortable as I could be, always asking did I need anything, how could they make my stay a pleasant and stress free experience for me. This is a private hospital with an NHS wing attached and I was having my procedure done as an NHS patient, but hand on my heart it felt like I was receiving the same level of care that I would have been given had I have been a private patient as fortunately I have experienced both sides, there was no difference at all. A massive thank you to all that were involved in my care, I am now making a speedy recovery.
