"The Ambulance Service & Patients and the Care given to all who use this service!"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / General Surgery Scottish Ambulance Service

(as a service user),

I can only commend and honour the people who take on the occupation of being Ambulance Drivers in the public domain as, sometimes their occupation could/should cause them some distress. However, since coming to Forres, Morayshire with a disabled husband who needed very frequent visits to hospital for regular, check-ups, I can say through my own experience, how diligent and kind these extraordinary people are.

The Care and Attention given at all times without exception, even to me as I accompanied my husband, was of the utmost consideration. They also treated everyone in their care with the utmost in respect and consideration.

We know nothing of their own problems, or insecurities, financial or otherwise, but I feel that having done their duty by us all, we should:

1. Hold them in high esteem for doing thir job.

2. Appreciate that they are there for us at all times (SPring, Summer, Autumn and Winter

3. That they also keep us in good humour and keep us relaxed in the event of maybe difficult answers we may receive from the doctors we visit, apart from the comfort they give on hearing of such diagnosis to us.

(Prostate Cancer being just one of them).

They all do a very good, hard job, in whatever circumstances in any situation, and I for one am very grateful for their help, kindness and repect shown to me and my husband (since passed away) over the last 3 years. You wonderful men deserve an award for the duties you perform.

Thanking you for everything, in the past and for your futures, You are really necessary to us all.

Dear Glowpots

thank you for taking the time to share your experience of care from the Service during your late husband's hospital treatment. I was sorry to hear that he has since passed away.

I have shared this feedback with colleagues, who will be delighted that you went to the trouble of sharing your thoughts, and to know that the care they have provided was so appreciated.
