About: East Surrey Hospital / Paediatrics Epsom Hospital / Paediatrics Surrey PCT / Podiatry

(as a parent/guardian),

After firstly being referred to Epsom Hospital and then to East Surrey, my 10 year old daughter was basically told she was lying about the pain she had in her foot and that she was avoiding exercise. We were informed that East Surrey were going to sign her off.

We were unhappy with this and went back to our GP, who referred her for a 2nd opinion. After a CT scan the problem had been identified with her foot and an operation is needed.

We, as her parents, are disgusted not only with East Surrey Hospital and their inability to diagnose the problem but their attitude to our daughter, which at times was rude and insulting.

Dear Sandpiper,

I am very sorry to learn of the experience that you and your daughter have had with our services, this is certainly not what we expect from our children's services at East Surrey.

I would be happy to discuss your concerns and to try to establish what went wrong on this occasion.

I can be contacted on 01737 231813

Regards
