Anything else?
I have been reading the reviews about The Royal Sussex Eye Hospital and I cannot help thinking that the few that complain must be talking about a different hospital to the one I attended on two occasions in 2013. For sure people are not going to get the phone answered when they ring and that is because staff are so busy elsewhere. Also patients will be kept waiting longer than they would like but if it were them receiving treatment in the operating theatre would they expect the surgeon to rush their treatment just because there were others waiting. I think not. My own experience is that I have received nothing but the most friendly, efficient, and caring help and treatment, so good in fact, that there were times when I half expected to be presented with a bill for private treatment ! I am glad I wasn,t because goodness knows how much it would have cost ! It must be remembered by every patient that the NHS does not have a bottomless pocket and The Royal Sussex Eye Hospital has to do the best it can with the resources available, and it does.
By the way, since having two cateracts removed I have never had such good vision in my life. I do not have to wear glasses or contact lenses anymore, hooray! Three cheers for the Royal Sussex Eye Hospital.
