What I liked
I was admited in August 2007 to have my baby girl in Florence Portal House. I received fantastic care from my Consultant who kept in touch the whole time i was being induced. The staff were fantastic and when my baby was transfered to Special Care downstairs i was kept well informed of her progress by all the Doctors and Nurses while she was there. The food was great, the hospital was clean and i was treated with dignity and respect and very well looked after.
What could be improved
There were not enough Midwife staff and my induction took a very long time (Tuesday - Saturday) for my baby to arrive as it had to be stopped halfway through as there was not adequate staff to look after me. The staff were working so hard and pregnant Mums had to be turned away.
