What could be improved

Cleaning needs to be improved. no communication between nurses and patients

one elderly patient had been calling for a nurse for over an hour and he was completely ignored. Kept being told that the hospital was short staffed yet there always seemed to be at least four nurses at the station an any time. The carers seemed to be more concerned about the welfare of patients than the nursing staff. A & E Staff were excellent & surgeons were very understanding and explained clearly; but care on the wards need to be greatly improved.
