"My daughters stay at Tameside Hospital"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Dermatology

(as a parent/guardian),

We attended our local surgery with a skin complaint for our daughter.

Her condition deteriorated. We phoned our local out of hours service. They responded within the timescales and sent us to an out of hours practice, Go to Doc in Ashton under Lyne.

We were seen quickly. The doctor recommended hospital admission and phoned the Children's Ward at Tameside Hospital.

On arrival, we were met with a nurse and doctor. They saw my daughter immediately and began treatment within 30 minutes.

Throughout the treatment they made her feel comfortable and not scared in the slightest. They informed me at all stages of the proposed treatment, what was happening, what would happen next and the timescales

What was a difficult experience was made easier by the professionalism and caring side shown by all the staff.
