My father was an inpatient in October 2012 for Neurosurgery to remove a malignant brain tumour. He was re admitted in December following complications dealt with at our local hospital during which time he was diagnosed with Primary lung cancer. Sadly despite the best efforts of all the Medical Professionals concerned he passed away on 30/12/12. Our family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses involved in his care on wards 2a and b. He was treated with dignity and respect at all times which I know meant a great deal to him. He was put on to the Liverpool Pathway and the doctor provided our family with a side ward on ward c where he spent his last few days. We cannot thank you enough for allowing us the privacy to say our goodbyes in private. At all times we were treated brilliantly by the caring nurses in ward c who looked after our family, providing food and drink for during our 3 day vigil. The care was second to none. Best regards Victoria Lister
"Excellent care at a sad time."
