"Had an MRI scan. Scanner area ..."

About: Wycombe Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Had an MRI scan. Scanner area smart and clean. Dealt with efficiently even though there was about a 40 min delay because the scanner had to be restarted which took extra 20min. Appreciated being kept informed.

What could be improved

Orthopaedics OPD. Grubby hospital generally. Lifts out of action. Tatty notices of A4 sheets of paper sellotaped to walls (often hanging off). Direction signage is appalling, everyone having to ask where to go. Patients have to put their paperwork in one of two little boxes, no-one who has not been there before can find them without asking other patients. When I was called to examination room, surprised to hear doctor in another room telephoning radiology for my scan and radiologist's report. Why had not someone been through the clinic list before the clinic to get all this info ready? This delayed proceedings about 20 min. Not surprised the clinic was running about 45 min late. Seem to be lots of office staff and staff meandering about the hospital not doing very much. Why cant they give you your next appointment at the time (and agree it on the spot) instead of having to go to all the expense of writing to you?
