It's a while ago, and when you are happy with the service you sometimes forget to write a review... so here it is a 15 months late!
Our week-old son, William, who had a sudden arterial bleed as his umbilical stump fell off whilst visiting Chippenham Birthing Centre. He was rushed to the RUH Neonatal NICU where they stemmed the bleeding and could not of provided better care overnight, including a bed for my wife upstairs. The care with which they treated the other much sicker babies was also apparent. Great doctors and fantastic nurses!
The only negative point is that one of the doctors seemed not to believe in "tongue ties". He did, however let us make our own mind up, so all is forgiven! When the tongue tie was removed by a midwife in Frome, breastfeeding that had been unproductive and painful became easy (I mean seconds after the tiny snip under the tongue).
Also great service as follow up clinic in the Childens ward.
Thank you so much!
"Wonderful NICU"
