Congratulations to West Cornwall Hospital.

We hear so many negatives concerning the competence, efficiency and patient care of the NHS and hospitals, I thought I would give my positive comments regarding my recent operation at West Cornwall Hospital, Penzance. The entire staff from consultant, anaesthetist right through to ward orderlies performed remarkably well despite some challenges due to my individual peculiarities.

There was no hanging around in corridors, abandonment or delay. When post surgical need arose, everyone needed, plus some who were not, were at the bedside as if by magic in just minutes. Despite an unscheduled overnight stay, full details were transferred to the next shift so that everything was fully understood by the incoming shift and notes were kept up to the minute in fine detail. They were great people; friendly and efficient, but hopefully I will not need to meet any of them again, professionally of course. They deserve ten out of ten, but I'll give them eleven.
