"A caring nurse made the difference"

About: Raigmore Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

I was admitted on a recent Saturday. I had to get a colonoscopy. The procedure got a bit uncomfortable.

There was a young nurse from Wick or Thurso taking my bp and monitoring me. She sensed it was getting uncomfortable she assured me it was ok, even stroked my head. I am a religious person and the compassion and care showed by this nurse was outstanding.

I hope some one from this department sees this or any other member of staff. And pass on my gratitude and sincere thanks and can honestly say she picked the right vocation for herself.

I only wish I could remember her name but my thanks to anyone who can pass this on to that caring nurse.

Dear rodmac

Good to hear from you and glad that you feel you were treated with care and compassion. Lets hope your good ear for accents helps me to track down the caring nurse. I will be delighted to pass on your lovely feed-back which I know will be very much appreciated.

All Patient Opinion postings relevant to NHS Highland are read and responded and we share all feed-back. This posting is a nice end to my Friday. Thank you for that!
