"Stroke Physio"

About: St Peter's Hospital (Maldon)

Anything else?

My girlfriends family are distort over the news that her father can no longer be provided physio to help him rehabilitate after his stroke! His physiotherapists are encouraging him and are commenting to him that he's progressing but office staff state he's not and therefore will no support him.... Where is the consistency.... Having a stroke is depressing as it is, now with being treated like this, he doesn't know what to think and I can only guess its constantly for the worse.

From the past year and a half since its happened, what I've learnt is that he needs encouragement and not be treated as a statistic by office staff. Everywhere I read about post stroke, that the patients need physio to recover and encouragement. I believe this is not happening and due to cost cuts, he has been selected to have everything cut.
