"A@E walk in"

About: University Hospital Of North Tees

Anything else?

Having tried to get a appointment at my local GP I could not I then rang up primary care for appointment only to be told I needed to go straight to A@E.

This is not my normal hospital as I live in Northumberland as I was working at Stockton it was north tees that I had to visit .

I was seen very quickly within 5 min great and was accessed by nurse and doctor as I had new pacemaker fitted in jan 2013 I had a major infection my problem is why did they not take blood to check or send me to the cardiology unit / ward ?? Surely this would have been better ??.Sent away with 112 x500mg penicillin to take over 7 days .

On the next day had to visit my local hospital for blood tests ??

All in all I think some things would be better if passed to correct dept but cannot complain.
