I went into labour with my first child in May. I was due to have her at Peterborough but due to high volumes of patients the labour ward was closed and I was redirected to Pilgrim.
All I can say is what a stroke of luck! My experience of the midwifery services at Pilgrim was second to none. The team there are very experienced, caring and extremely supportive. I would absolutely recommend Pilgrim as a hospital of choice for Maternity care.
My beautiful baby girl was born by C section in the end the following day. The aftercare was brilliant, I was under no pressure to rush home - the team were keen to ensure I was feeding my baby properly before leaving.
Thank you very much to all the midwives, doctors, and anaesthetists who cared for me that weekend. It was very much appreciated by both my Husband and I.
