Anything else?
If no senior doctor available to sign release form after a patient has been seen and treated you will be kept waiting in a dingy room in the clinical decision unit with other patients (some in extreme pain and vomiting) until one does become available this can I was told take anything up to 12 hours as only one registrar and one consultant is on call at any one time in general surgery to sign releases and they were at this time in the theatre doing operations).
We waited over 3 hours in a room which is far from pleasant,,,it smelled disgusting (was a former six bed ward) the windows were filthy and medical and admin staff have to work there too. Nurse Practioner did his job and junior doctor did hers...unfortunately the system failed there after.
"Be prepared to spend a long time waiting to be..."
