I recently (March 2013) had an appointment with a heart consultant as part of a screening for a genetic heart problem. I was treated quickly, efficiently and wtih dignity by staff who obviously cared for their patients and who were extreemly busy and understaffed. A very good experience! I had a heart trace and ECG and a lengthy conversation with the consultant - who was excellent at communicating in a clear and non-patronising way.

I'm also a long term patient at the lung function department - I have sleep apnoea. Every time I visit I receive excellent treatment. In fact this morning I called them as I have a problem with my CPAP machine - they offered for me to drop in either today - or tomorrow to fix it. You can't get better than that can you?
