The treatment and the attitude of the nurses cannot be faulted very caring and put you at ease. However it's a shame the same cannot be said for the attitude of the reception staff. After having to sit and listen to the receptionist shout every patients personal details across a crowded waiting room including what their reason for being there was, there was an elderly gentleman (80's) who booked himself in and was alone in his dressing gown and slippers feeling sick. He did ask for a sick bowl and went to be sick in a corridor next to the reception desk. As I was concerned that this man was alone I discreetly informed the receptionist that the gentleman had been sick and could possibly do with a little assistance. To my horror the receptionists response was "yes I know he's being sick and that's why he's gone in the corridor for a bit of privacy away from people like you!" Forgive me for thinking that the NHS hospitals were places where people actually cared and looked after the sick, elderly and vulnerable. Very disappointed as these experiences are what over shadow the good work that the nurses and doctors do.
