Anything else?
I have spent far too much time at the infirmary of late with mixed results. my mother in law was taken in after a fall she was to be kept in for observation over the w/e but was exposed to, and caught , the norovirus and spent 6 wks slowly turning skeletal . all the other old ladies in the ward were very ill and seemed to be just waiting to die , very little dignity and awful for visitors to witness [ especially when its twice a day ] We took her out in the end ,but it feels like we took a stranger home .
Totally different to that , I had a knee replaced 6 weeks ago and my experience with the Trauma & Orthopaedics unit was faultless. We were involved at every stage of the process , had a classroom session a week before admission to give us in depth information on our ops , meaured for crutches and allowed to take them home to practice . Nothing was too much trouble , and the after Op care was excellent . It was so good I was discharged after just 2 days walking perfectly well ... I thank them all sincerely.
