"Admitted suffering a massive heart ..."

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

(as the patient),

What I liked

Admitted suffering a massive heart attack

diagnosed and treated quickly

Had a ICD fitted [Implantable cardioverter defibrillator] fitted after an anagram /angioplasty/ then a Stent. all in two weeks Beat that .

I'm still here to tell the tale. :=}

Thanks to the dedication and care at this hospital

Food was very good and enough [ I have a very good appetite] and nothing was too much trouble to make me as conformable as possible [ I am disabled and live on crutches] visitors were made welcome

What could be improved

Parking for visitors with very ill patients the limit is laughable when I was admitted at deaths door I might add, my partner was forced to leave me to feed the meter.several times.

Other than that I have no complaints at all.

Since this patient's stay in hospital a 'pay on foot' system has been introduced in the hospital's car park which means that relatives need no longer worry about feeding meters. Instead they pay on departure for the total time stayed.

The hospital is also now on the route of a new Park & Ride service that provides a low-cost (free for over 60s bus pass holders) and convenient alternative for those with planned and longer stays.
