"Awful care in the NICU"

About: St George's Hospital (Tooting) (London)

Anything else?

Our 31 week gestation premature baby was recently transferred by air ambulance from the US to what we were told was the best hospital in our area. The level of care, facilities and decision making was however appaling in comparison to what we had received in the US. We have not been involved in any decision making despite being assured that we would be and whenever we pull the staff up on this they say they dont have our contact details and we have to give them again! We get the impression that they never wanted our baby in their hospital and to be honest the nursing staff seem pretty inept by comparison and we don't want her there either so she is being transferred to Kingston which when we visited was soooo much nicer.

If you have a choice about where your premature baby will be cared for don't go to St Georges
