Had to visit this hospital last night with my 3 year old daughter who had sadly took a tumble and hurt her head and cut her eyebrow.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted with " we can not treat that here".

Nice.

Then the lovely lady. Asked for her details and then said " ah I see she also came here in. 2012 with another head injury". This was said in a very speculative tone.

At this point I was very anxious to get my daughter to another hospital but was told to sit.

We were then sent to another room and she asked if we had given her any pain killers. I replied "no". This was responded with. "You haven't given the poor child any medicine".

No I was more concerned to get her to hospital to be treated.

We eventually left and went to torbay where my daughter was treated with love and care. Where she got cleaned up and had her wound glued back together.

I found the service extremely poor and the nurse in particular was seriously lacking in empathy and people skills.

Luckily my daughter is ok but with no thanks to newton abbot minor injury unit.
