"Aftercare of retina reattachment"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

Anything else?

I attended a 10 day after operation appointment yesterday.

The nursing and reception staff were very good, I cannot say the same about the doctors I saw.

The first doctor came into the waiting area and very brusquely put drops into my eye, they knocked the stitches in my eye causing great discomfort.

When I eventually saw the second doctor they seemed in a world of his own, disregarding my questions until I pressed them for an answer.

They didn't offer me any information on how I was progressing, I had to press them all the time for answers.

They prescribed drops for my eye, they gave me a lot of paperwork but no prescription, we had to go back to the clinic again and a helpfull nurse went in to his room and got me the script.

The surgeon who operated on my eye took great care of me both pre and post operation. They fully explained what they were doing, and put me at ease.

I cannot praise him enough.
