Anything else?
I'm 9 months pregnant with my first child - my baby is breech and has been for the last 2 months. I was booked in for an elective c-section 2 weeks ago, only to arrive yesterday at 7:30am for this sceduled surgery only to have to wait 10 hours. I was not allowed to eat so I had no food or water for a total of 22 hours yesterday. At 6:15pm I was still waiting and was by then so physically weak from lack of fluids etc, I could barely walk. I came home last night in a bad way and still have no baby as they decided after all this to rescedule for the following week. The last surgeon that spoke to use yesterday, was very loud and shouted to us at such a rapid pace we could not understand a word they were saying and at one point, we thought them to be deranged. (my partner had to calm them down - even though we were the concerned parrents-to-be) utterly disgraceful treatment - they were only concerned it seemed with persistant badgering me into donating blood whilst I endured this 10 hours wait. Previous to my own horrendous ordeal, I witnessed 2 yound woman, in labour for 2-3 hours during a previous wait. One woman was plonked on a little chair in a tiny, smelly waiting room full of people, the other, left in a corridor. The staff only began to attend to the lady in the corridor when she began to shout that she 'needed to push'. I am now going through the process of finding a new place to have my baby as this hospital is both grubby and incompetent.
"Disgusting treatment - do not use this hospital"
