"Care in hospitals"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

Anything else?

My husband had a chest infection and his oxygen levels were very low. He has been in twice in the last six months with pneumonia. He has dementia and to me he was treated terribly. One of the doctors actually said to me that they didnt like treating patients with dementia. The staff said the same. I just hope that they dont get dementia in the future and are treated like my husband. I know he pulls his mask off a lot, but he forgets where he is. When he goes into hospital I always make sure I sit with him for a good few hours sometimes up to 10 hours a day as he needs coaxing to eat. The staff say they cannot cope with him. Whether they are short staffed, I dont know but there is a lack of patient care and if you ask any questions, no-one gets back to you with any answers.

I honestly wish he could go into Burnley hospital . It was the worst thing they ever did closing the wards there.
