"Disappointing Care, poor communication"

My 92 year old mother in law was admitted to Stepping Hill - on Sunday we called (phone rang OVER 27 times) when we finally reached a nurse we were told "oh she is doing so much better and ate all her dinner" We said it was critical to know how she was since we live abroad and it would take us quite some time to get a flight over. We were assured several times she was just fine.... it was not true! When we had someone read her file it said she ate 1/4 teaspoon of food! How is that eating! She died shortly after being told she was doing great and they were going to move her to a nursing home... Truly lousy communication and false information.... Then we had to chase around the ward and doctors for over 24 hours to get the death certificate.
