"After care from University College Hospital, London"

About: University College Hospital / Critical care

(as the patient),

I have already told you in my other story about them saving my life, but I didnt say about my after care.

I was phoned in the first week of getting back to my home town to see how I was. They also rang my GPs, and spoke to my specialist, who was in touch with me and my GPs.

This was then followed by Dr George phoning me at home for consultation to see how I was getting on right up until Jan this year - they have kept in touch.

I went back in Jan to see the After Care team. I was with them for 2 hours, went to see where I was in intensive care - all explained, even Dr George, as I call him, broke off from operating to see me. I still get a call from time to time to see how I am doing.

The care I got from my own GP and nurses visiting me daily for about 6 months on coming home too - what more after care could you ask for?

Thank you.
